Body Painting

It was me that painted the original pink Lady for the Riccarton Races years ago, who would have known at that time that it would be recognized and talked about so many years later. Thumbs up to Aaron, the brave lady that started the ball rolling

I am passionate about my body painting, I absolutely love it! I feel priviliged that men and women feel comfortable enough with me to take that paint brush and get to work on their skin. I have done many many paintings since 2000, and each one is as much a wonderful and unique experience as the last. I love fabric and texture all of these things inspire me. I could blend you into your favourite duvet or curtains if you like, I could paint on your favourite tee shirt, or we could come up with a unique design that means something special and symbolic to you.

I have painted Canterbury rugby shorts, rugby tops, moko designs, pregnant women with gorgeous full bellies, bikini tops, tee shirts, mens suits, shirts and waist coats, wedding attire, I have been involved in painting the tui girls, judging body painting competitons, and body painting for New Zealands own TV 1 and What Now, I have painted for foreign documentaries and I have also been involved in Aucklands Style Pasifika to name a few, what fun I have had!

My favourite painting was for my mum who had a masectomy, and as modest as she is, I thought it would be a great idea to do a ‘Lets celebrate your body as you are now’ bodypainting.

It was lovely, she wore a black and orange lavalava, and I painted on a matching bikini top… considering what she went through after that, it was so special to be involved.

I am very open and encouraging to any other women who are interested in this as a service, I can arrange a female photographer and hairstylist. Such a brave and courageous thing to do - but how wonderful to put a somewhat positive light on it and have a gorgeous image to reflect upon for years to come.

If you have many models that need to be painted for promotional purposes that is no problem as I can provide a team of makeup artists.
