I have known Selina since the year 2000.
Selina completed the Makeup Design and Production Programme at the
Design and Arts college of New Zealand. At the time I was the Faculty
Director of Makeup Design and after a very impressive interview I was
delighted to offer Selina a place on the programme.
Throughout the year, Selina continued to impress me with immense
dedication to her creative work.
Selina was a pleasure to teach and her exceptional outcomes lead to
her being awarded student of the year at the end of 2000. This award
was well deserved.
Upon completion of the programme Selina began her freelance career as
a makeup artist and quickly became the leading body painter in the
south island.
Selina is a delightful person, has great people skills and is always
willing to share her creative talents with those keen to learn.
I didn't hesitate in offering the position of head makeup tutor at
the Design and Arts college to Selina when the makeup programme
expanded in 2003.
Selina brought with her a wealth of knowledge, energy and creative
ideas she had accumulated during her working life.
It has been an absolute pleasure to know and work with Selina over
the years.
Selina has become a special friend who is always willing to help,
listen and advise when ever and where ever needed.
Selina has an out going personality, can be flamboyant, yet is
sensitive to the feelings of others.
I am sure Selina could deal with any situation she found herself in.
Selina also has a very caring nature and cares about those close to
her and the future of the world.
There aren't many 'Selina's' around so if you get the chance, get to
know her, I'd recommend her!
