I chose Makeup Artistry as a career because to me, it is my way of helping men and women to feel fantastic about themselves, whether it is for a gorgeous bridal look, a ball or special occasion makeup... it could be that I have body painted your pregnant belly, or body painted you before a life changing mastectomy in celebration of your body, I may have even painted a rugby top on you with your business logo.

Perhaps I have helped you form your career by being your tutor, your inspiration into a successful and happy business, or perhaps I was there for your first photo shoot or the first time you walked down the cat walk… talking to you before you took those first nervous steps…. Whatever the reason that I have come into your life through my career, I like to think that I can put a smile on your face, that is what makes me feel great!!

What is my history? Originally a Southern girl form Invercargill, I moved to Christchurch in 2000 to study Makeup Design and Production. I completed my training here in Christchurch where I graduated with distinction and as Student of the Year.

Since 2001 I have run 10 week Selina Nunn Introduction to Makeup Artistry Courses, One on One tuition, Staff Training for other Makeup Artists and Beauty therapists, I have educated many women and been part of launching new products such as New Zealands own Living Nature. I have also traveled to other centers around New Zealand to teach. This for me is ongoing, I love it, meeting new people, constantly learning and being part of students realising their potential.

I have worked in Film, TV and theatre and been the Makeup Director and organizer for many fashion shows and photo shoots. I was also the Head Makeup Tutor at the Design and Arts College here in Christchurch for 3 years.

Contributing to the community where I can is something that I like to do, so I do voluntary charity work every year and have been doing body paintings for Koro Care to help raise funds for children will illnesses the since 2004
